The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) hosted a seminar titled “The Next Chapter of Maldives Tourism – Berlin Edition” at ITB Berlin 2025. Held on March 4th, 2025, at Hybrid Studio 5.3, the seminar focused on key initiatives and investments shaping the future of the Maldivian tourism industry.
Moderated by MMPRC’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Sabeeha Ahmed, the session highlighted both governmental and industry-driven efforts aimed at exploring emerging market segments, boosting tourist bookings, and promoting sustainable tourism practices.
The event gathered representatives from the German and international travel trade sector, beginning with a compelling video presentation showcasing the Maldives as a world-class travel destination. Five distinguished speakers from the Maldivian tourism industry shared their expertise, covering topics such as government policies, sustainability initiatives, marketing strategies, and the significance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.
This seminar served as a platform to reinforce the Maldives’ commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in tourism, further strengthening its position as a top-tier destination in the global travel market.
